Dean Ferguson

President

Dean Ferguson is an energy executive with 30 years of experience in the natural gas, electricity, and emerging energies industries. As President of Wolf Carbon Solutions, Dean is responsible for all regulatory, development, commercial and operational matters across the company’s U.S. footprint.

Before joining Wolf in May 2023, Dean served as Principal, Ferguson Energy Consulting LLC., and led a broad range of clients through LNG project development activities, pipeline service negotiations, commercial and operational decision-making actions, and midstream joint venture transactions.

Additionally, Dean has held various executive leadership roles with TC Energy, overseeing commercial and business development activities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. He successfully led the organization’s U.S. Natural Gas pipeline business unit, completed M&A transactions in both pipeline and power generation totaling over $20 billion, and captured growth projects in all three countries totalling more than $3 billion. Dean also spent a year with Certarus Ltd., growing their Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) business in the U.S. and Canada, with a focus on utilities and new pipeline connections.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. He is based in Houston, Texas.

Nick Noppinger

Senior VP, Corporate Development

Nicholas joined the Wolf team in 2021, bringing a wealth of experience from the financial industry. Having recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Flatirons Field Services, he played a key role in the business growth strategy and was responsible for $175 million of investments in a greenfield midstream system in the Bakken.

Nicholas has also served as Director of Corporate Development and Investor Relations of American Midstream Partners, a midstream MLP. His background also includes time spent as a Senior Energy Analyst at Sandell Asset Management, and an Associate at Riverstone Holdings after starting his career at Citigroup in the Global Energy Investment Banking Group.

Nicholas holds a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Patrick Brierley

Vice President Engineering

Patrick joined the Wolf Carbon Solutions team in 2022, bringing significant project execution, engineering and technical operations experience, most recently from his role as Chief Engineer at Harvest Midstream, where he oversaw integrity management, regulatory compliance, measurement and control center operations. Patrick has over 30 years of experience in the industry, having previously held senior leadership, operations, engineering and project management positions at DCP Midstream, Summit Midstream, and Greenfield Midstream.

Patrick has led teams executing projects in most of the producing basins in the US, both in the Lower 48 and in Alaska’s Cook Inlet and Prudhoe Bay, and has extensive project execution experience specific to facilities that condition, store and transport CO₂, oil, water, natural gas and refined products.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a professional engineering designation in the State of Texas.

Tracey McDaneld

Director, Government Relations and Land

Tracey joined the Wolf Carbon Solutions team in 2022, bringing over 20 years of experience in both government relations and land management. Tracey has worked extensively on several major pipeline projects throughout the Midwest, providing insight into their development and implementation, from the initial routing of pipeline systems, through to the final restoration of the pipeline route.

Tracey has extensive knowledge and experience implementing and complying with Agriculture Mitigation Agreements specific to both Iowa and Illinois, as well as an understanding of state codes related to the construction and operation of pipelines. She has worked in partnership with many government entities and elected officials to successfully implement positive solutions throughout the entirety of pipeline projects. As a lifelong resident of South-Central Illinois, Tracey is adept at working closely with landowners and other stakeholders on property-specific matters.

Jonathan Jenkins

Director Finance and Corporate Development

Jonathan joined Wolf Carbon Solutions in 2022 with an impressive track record in sourcing, valuing, and coordinating large assets and corporate transactions, most recently for a Blackstone portfolio company with $1 billion in committed capital. He has led and been successful at structuring complex deals, raising capital, valuing assets, and maintaining strong balance sheets. As a business developer he has sourced and closed many profitable deals as well as divested companies and assets, with a steady focus on adding value to the bottom line.

Previously, Jonathan held management roles in multiple energy companies, ranging from CFO to Business Development. Also, he was an investment banker with Citi in their Global Energy Group where he facilitated acquisitions and divestitures, and spent a number of years with Repsol Energy in various financial planning and business development roles where he focused on evaluating and building large long-lead time projects, as well as acquisitions and divestitures.

Jonathan holds a BA in Government, Minor in Economics, Minor in Business from The University of Texas and is a CFA Level III Candidate.

Devon Patton, CPA

Controller, Director and Corporate Services

Devon joined the Wolf Carbon Solutions team in 2022 with a background in accounting. Her career has been largely spent in the oil and gas industry with experience ranging from public accounting to private start-ups and publicly traded companies, including EKS&H (now Plante Moran), Antero Resources, Rockies Resources, Lobo Logistics, and LuxTronic. She has led many accounting functions from audits to initial accounting system implementations, complex consolidations of financial statements, internal and external reporting and team development and management.

Devon holds a bachelor's degree in accountancy and a master's degree in integrated marketing strategies from The University of Denver. She also holds her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Colorado, along with being a certified Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Gord Salahor

Business Development

Gordon was a key player in the commercial origination of the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line, and Wolf carbon business in Canada. As a founder and CEO, Gordon has been instrumental in shaping Wolf Midstream into the multi-faceted, synergistic business it is today. Prior to Wolf, Gord was a founder and principal of Mistral Energy Inc., VP of Commercial Operations for Taylor Gas Liquids Ltd., the Manager and Administrator of Taylor NGL Limited Partnership. Gordon has also held positions with Ernst & Young in their gas industry management consulting practice and various engineering positions with Dow Chemical Canada.

Gordon has a deep understanding of the North American midstream and natural gas liquids environments and develops innovative solutions to address customers’ needs with creative commercial arrangements to drive value. Gordon has direct experience with overseeing production planning, buying and selling of natural gas, operations and corporate development, regulatory affairs and investor relations.

Gordon holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Alberta. He holds a professional engineering designation in the province of Alberta.

Bruce Gray

Engineering and Project Management

Bruce joined the Wolf Midstream team in 2018 as Vice President, Business Development. Prior to joining Wolf Midstream, Bruce was Vice President of Operations and Engineering at Access Pipeline Inc., overseeing pipeline operations and integrity management, commercial operations, and project development and execution. Bruce has over 30 years of experience in the upstream and midstream areas of the oil and gas industry, having previously held progressively senior leadership, operations, engineering and project management roles at Access Pipeline, TransCanada Pipelines, Novagas Canada, Federated Pipelines and Home Oil.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the University of Calgary, and professional engineering designations in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.
